Big night on Saturday at the Mirage banquet hall in Surrey for the FVSL awards banquet hosted by Perry Solkowski (sportsnet). It was a great night with lots of food, fun and awards.
Our AUSC goalkeepers Dilveer Gill (U 21) and Arturo Ortiz (Div 2) won the Golden Glove in the respective divisions as top goalkeepers. This is the first time any AUSC goalkeeper has won this award. Great job boys!!
The Division 2 team was up next to receive the 1st place trophy. They clinched first place on the last game of the season with a 2-1 win. Overall great season for the guys to get back to the top of the division and compete in provincials!!
Lastly the big awards of the night was Dan Davidson winning AUSC’s 2nd Umbro Premier Division MVP. Dan followed that up with the Golden Boot award as the top goal scorer in the Umbro Premier League with 16 goals, 3 ahead of the next closest competitor. Great Season Dan!!
